At the #ElPaso Veterans Affairs Center with the VA Chess Club. #KingLaw of #CobraChess connected us to the VA Club last year. Today, we joined youth & adults for an afternoon of #chess play & learning. Shout out to #KingGriff! It was also great to see our chess luminaries #KingLuca aka #TheSerpent of Cobra Chess Club & #KingPardo formerly of the St. Clements Chess Club now with the @cathedral_ep Chess Club! Pardo has achieved many chess milestones having competed regionally and at state. It was a great surprise to reconnect with him & the Fighting lrish crew. The Serpent was the 6thgrade #KingCobra Master of the Year 2020 & one of the members of Canyon Hills MS Regional Chess Championship squad prior to the pandemic shutdown. Today, he represents the #MustangChess Club at Burges High.
