EPISD’s Community Schools program has come to Canyon Hills Middle School. Tay Cunningham, an Americorps Vista volunteer, and Ariana De La Hoya, EPISD Community Schools Specialist, are going to be working with our campus and community to provide support services to our students.
Ariana and Tay spoke to our teachers on Wednesday afternoon during their professional development conferences. Teachers learned about the Community Schools program and the support services they are bringing to our campus. These services include, but are not limited to, physical and mental health services, mentoring, expanded learning services such as after school programs. Some of these programs may include summer and intercession enrichment activities, tutoring, arts and sports programs.
