It’s not a surprise that Big Brother can help little brothers, but this is not the kind of Big Brothers you may think. This is the Non Profit organization Big Brothers Big Sisters, that helps kids who can use the mentorship of an adult. They change kids’ lives by showing the kids that they have potential in life to do lots of things by matching them with adult mentors that have similar interests and are positive role models. Many children may not have a stable family lifestyle or have both parents at home. Some of the children may have had a loss of a sibling that left a void in the child’s life.

Big Brother, Big Sister’s mission is to mentor kids and support them through school. They want all the children in their program to strive to reach their full potential when they leave their organization. Many children would have never experienced some of the activities they share with their Bigs, such as hiking, visiting the zoo, going on road trips, museums, and much more. They help youth that have bad behavior and make you have better confidence. They have job opportunities as well for people that like to give back to their community.

The Big Brother Big Sister organization has been helping kids for a long time and they have helped thousands of kids that were told they weren’t going to be able to graduate high school to now they are graduating college. They are trying to be able to get more kids every year but that can be hard when they need more donations to help them be able to help as many kids as possible. The lack of volunteer mentors makes things difficult as well. Many children in the program have to be placed on a wait list before they are matched up with a Big Brother or Sister.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters organization help kids experience a positive upbringing that can lead to a good life and be ready for their future. They can experience advice that can help them do better in school and give them a change to college and get a good career. Their mission is to help and make sure that kids without positive role models in their life have a the same oppertunities as other children. They don’t stop helping at just school, they take the kids to fun places like amusement parks and music events. They teach the children in the program things that maybe their mom and dad can’t, and if they don’t have one of their parents, or both, the mentors can help fill that empty are through their life and school years. Their website has all the information to join and enroll kids today https://www.bbbs.org to join, donate, or enroll a child.
