Mr. Moreno’s After School Detention (RM# 415)
February 23 @ 3:10 PM - 4:10 PM
Students scheduled for detention may be escorted by a teacher, campus patrol, or administrator during the end of 8th period. Students not escorted, must self report to the room by 3:10 pm on that day. Students are to exit at the front of the main building. Parents are responsible for transportation.
I strongly recommend the students become familiar with the detention rules before they start their detention assignment.
After School Detention Rules:
Students are released in the order that they behaved. Disrespectful attitude or language may delay your dismissal and incur more days.
- Detention is for one hour from the time the student arrives, unless otherwise stated.
- Students are to sit apart. Seat will be assigned by teacher or monitor.
- Students must be respectful to the teacher or detention monitor.
- No talking, no devices, including cell phones, earbuds, etc. Students with long hair maybe asked to pull their hair away from the ears to check for earbuds.
- Students must sit up and face forward at all times.
- Students are to sit still the entire time. No crossing legs, tapping feet, tapping hands on table, lap, or fidgeting. Hands must stay flat on table/desk or on their lap. No resting head on table or on hands/arms.
- Students requesting the restroom or to drink water must do so by raising their hand. Time used will be added to their dismissal time.
- Students may be required to neatly write a reflection paper on the incident that led them there, an apology to the teacher/classroom, and it may be used as an exit ticket for dismissal. This is at the teacher or monitor’s discretion.
