Comments

Our website has comments disabled by default, however from time to time we may have certain surveys or other articles that will have the comments options available. When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media/Digital Content

Under EPISD communication and privacy policies, parents/legal guardians sign a photo/video release for every student at enrollment. This form gives EPISD permission for him/her to be interviewed and/or photographed, filmed or videotaped for use in internal and external district publications, websites, and social media, and/or news media productionsfor promoting district programs and/or district sponsored in-services.

Parents have the right to opt-out of having their child’s image published and those forms are stored with our campus. Images of students who’s guardians have opted out of image publication will be monitored. Please contact Mr. Moreno on our Contact Page or by emailing info@chms.news to request photo removals. The district’s Community Engagement Photo Release Form can be found here.
The content on this website may be primarily created and submitted by students. Five submitting content to our website the student understands and agrees that the material is original and created by them, and holds no other copyright owned by other persons. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
